The Swan is a luxury boutique hotel situated at the South end of Lake Windermere, with excellent access onto the A590 which links onto the M6.
The hotel sites in an enviable position fronting the River Leven. It has proven track as one of the leading hotels in the lake district, with a strong all year round business, which has been profitable for many years.
BH Group acquired the property in Jan 2020 and are proposing to undertake an extensive refurbishment and extension program.
The hotel consists of 70 bed rooms which are a combination of hotel rooms and serviced apartments. It also boasts 3 restaurants, a pool, health and fitness and a spa.

Really brilliant meal,4 different main courses served very quickly. The Pies were to Die For, my Waistline still is. Dog Friendly, Good service and a good choice of Beers and Wine.
He had a lovely stay at the hotel, arriving early, our room was available to us, there is ample parking and early access to the pool area was offered. There is a interesting mix of staff, in particular the age range, all of which were very professional and friendly. The breakfast was as advertised “a full English” my wife opted for the pancakes with fruit & honey etc, a full range of juice, cereal, toast etc were also available from the self service tables.
Not complaints about the hotel, will visit again and would recommend it.
Really superb relaxed hotel for a family weekend….the Christmas market was very good and provided a lovely atmosphere.
The main Riverside restaurant and the more informal ‘pub’ restaurant are both excellent.
